Carter's: These are the go-to items for newborns and babies. Carter's makes soft, cuddly onesies and sleepers in sweet baby prints. For older babies, they have a variety of playwear. All stand up well to many, many washings without shrinking or fading. They are easy to put on, with snaps in all the right places – and snaps that stay snapped! Good all around value and quality, available Target among many other locations.
Little Me: Another line of good, reliable baby clothing – dependable fabrics, dependable quality. These are kids' clothes, designed to let kids be kids, with all the rolling, crawling and climbing that this entails. These clothes wear well and wash well. Although most of their prints are pastels, there is a wide assortment of styles and designs, including such seasonal things as Halloween costumes.

Janie and Jack: Sweet designs that look wonderful on children, but they do have their drawbacks. Many Janie and Jack clothes are dry-clean only. Many more need ironing to keep up their good looks. Some have buttons or snaps in the back, and one Mom commented on a one-piece that had 17 snaps in the legs! That's the downside. But if you don't mind those issues, these are delightful clothes for children. The styles and fabrics are attractive, and they are well made.
First Impressions: Macy's store brand, these, too, are good baby clothes. They combine quality and value in a wide variety of clothing. Moms love the wash-and-wear ease of these clothes. Babies like these soft garments that let them move freely.

BabyGap: The littlest version of the popular Gap line of clothing, Moms favor these for older babies and toddlers. Although there are onesies and sleepers, they tend to be solid-colored pastels and not the prints we all seem to love. Baby Gap jeans and shirts are well liked, but may not be as convenient to put on and take off as some of the other lines.
Children's Place: This popular line of clothing offers affordable, cottons for baby and children. Following the trends, there are a wider variety of cute, colorful outfits for newborns to toddlers available. In addition, they offer a few dressy pieces- still at affordable prices- to complete their stock.

Gymboree: A favorite of many. This is good basic clothing. There is a wide variety of styles in all the basics – tops and bottoms – for both girls and boys. Their footed sleepers wear well and are also popular. Gymboree also offers special promotions and a rewards type program which appeals to many moms.
Hanna Andersson: This line, originated by a Swedish Mom, has become quite popular. It mixes tops and bottoms in a wide variety of prints, stripes and solids to create a distinctive - and very wearable – look. As baby grows, dresses become tunics, then tops . All can be worn with leggings to create unique colorful outfits. These are soft, comfortable clothes that kids love. They wash well, with only isolated reports of fading. Shop Now

Osh Kosh: First known for its denims, especially their overalls, Osh Kosh is still the company to look to for these basics. The overalls for babies have the bib-front hardware that allows them to "grow" as baby does, and the leg snaps make changes a breeze. This company offers a full line of other baby items as well, but it is in their denims that they have truly made their reputation.
Old Navy: Very affordable, trendy clothing that suits babies and children well. Clothing is available for both boys and girls and follows along the same lines as its sister company, The Gap.
